About

In June 2009 we unexpectantly became the owners of a horse. Having no experience or knowledge about horses, we needed a crash course about equine care, and fast!

This is the story about what happened next. It’s the story about how we are learning to make sense of how we, as humans, interact with and use horses, and what this means for the horse.

And so we started with the basics, discovering the horse as a horse – without bits, bridles, saddles, rugs, shoes, living with other horses, outside, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – a truly Naked Horse.

Part of this discovery has incorporated the incredible wisdom that was given by Rudolf Steiner, with time spent pondering his lectures about animals and sifting out the gems for our understanding.

We hope to use this website as a means to promote those who help us and teach us along the way … and to add to this ever increasing connections with like minded people.
